Ahuva Sherman
Ahuva Sherman 1926–2023, an Israeli painter who lived and worked on the Carmel in Haifa. The landscapes of the country - from the Galilee mountains to the Negev steppe, Jerusalem and the Mediterranean Sea - are translated into color, texture and light, in a dialogue between the form and the inner content.

Ahuva Sherman, born in Tel Aviv, lived and created on the Carmel in Haifa. She created in a variety of materials and mediums - oil, collage and pastel - and another layer of her work is the creation of artistic tapestries using a unique relief technique.
Her inspiration and the subjects of her works derive from the landscapes of the country, which create a dialogue between the form and the inner contents: from the sights of the Galilee mountains to the Negev steppe.
A member of the Society of Painters and Sculptors in Israel and a member of the Society of Artists "SLMM" for multimedia layered art in the USA. She has held many exhibitions in Israel and around the world.
